Carol Nadine Levin

Carol Nadine Levin, loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 following a courageous 5 ½ year battle with lung cancer at the age of 65.

Carol was born on March 11, 1957 in Chicago, IL.  Carol was adopted as an infant by Lewis Harold Levin and Jeannette Claire (Levy) Levin, and had one sister, Ilene.  Carol lived in Illinois, moved to California, where her daughter Lindsay was born, and then moved to Arizona before settling in in the greater Seattle, Washington area where she met and married her husband Tim, and where her grandson Skyler was born.

After moving to Seattle, Carol developed a passion for sailing, and absolutely loved being out on the water and rafting up with groups of boats.  Her laugh was infectious to all of those around her.  Carol was a very giving person and always ready to lend a hand to help others.  Carol was a rabid Seahawks fan and loved getting all decked out in her Seahawks gear.  Carol also enjoyed trips as a passenger on the motorcycle, dining and fine wines with friends, having big Hanukkah parties, and she never met a dog she didn’t pet and try to coax a kiss from.  Carol also enjoyed her work as a paralegal alongside her Boeing team.  Most of all, Carol really enjoyed being Nana to Skyler.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Lewis, her mother Jeannette, her nephew Nicolas, her niece Malarie, and her beloved companion, Sasha the Dog.  She is survived by her husband Tim, sister Ilene (Brad) Silver, sister-in-laws Kim (Tom) Hooker and Pam (Chuck) Wolthuis, several nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew, and many extended relatives and too many friends to count.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be announced and held later in the year, as Carol did not want one during the crummy Seattle winter weather.  In lieu of flowers please make any memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or Seattle Children’s Hospital.
