Daniel Nap Obituary

Daniel Robin Nap was born December 14, 1951 to Jack R. Nap and Mary Marie Taylor Nap in Bozeman, Montana.  His life was full and ended here on earth September 12, 2021, while receiving comfort care at the Auburn Hospital.

The family made homes in Manhattan, Butte and Billings Montana, moving to Washington in 1967.
Dan made the most important decision of his life when he was 19, which was to serve God. This commitment shaped and influenced every decision he made.
Dan met Anita Buell while working at Old National Bank in 1972. They were married June 5 of the same year. Their first son, Darren was born while living in Spokane. They also started their Shaklee business the same year.

In 1975, Dan, Anita and Darren moved to Juneau, Alaska where Dan began a career with the Alaska Marine Highway. While living in Alaska, their second son, Derrick, was born.
Dan continued working on the ferries in Washington State settling in Kent where their third child, Kevin was born. After 15 years, Dan transitioned to real estate and then to truck driving until he retired in 2017.

Anyone who spent time with Dan, knew without a doubt what really interested him. The regular Sunday gatherings, Wednesday night Bible Studies, Conventions and Special meetings were highlights of his year.

Dan is survived by his wife, Anita, sons Darren and wife Malena, Derrick and wife Kate, and Kevin, and 5 grandchildren, Vanessa, Emma, Dylan, Zoe and Isaiah.
Dan is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lois, siblings, Nick and wife, Jean, Terry and wife Marilyn, Jon and wife Eileen, Sally Kaas and husband Terry, Herb and wife Vicki, Chris Barton, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wes, sister Loretta Tuomala and her husband Alan.
