Dorothy Louise FRITZ
December 26, 1934 – December 14, 2022
Dorothy Louise Fritz was born on December 26, 1934 in Tilden, Nebraska, the daughter of Ernest Deckert and Louise Huele. Dorothy was raised in Tilden, Nebraska, and moved to San Francisco at the age of 18.
On March 24, 1956, Dorothy entered into Holy Matrimony with Mr. John Merritt Fritz. They lived in Redondo Beach, California; Lancaster, California; Fairfax, Virginia; Cincinnati, Ohio; Seattle, Washington; and Melbourne, Australia. They retired to Kent, Washington in 1992, where they lived until their passing.
First and foremost, Dottie considered herself a dependable spouse, housewife, and mother. I’m sure that all who knew her would know that she fulfilled those roles with excellence. Dottie was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
Dottie loved to play golf with her husband, and with the many close friends whom she met over the years while golfing. Dottie received a Titleist Hole-in-One Award in honor of the Hole-in-One attained on the 119 Yard 12th Hole-Par 3 at the Meridian Valley Country Club on April 19, 1998. Dottie also loved to play Bridge with her friends. She loved to watch the Mariners and golf on television.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Richard and Duane Deckert. She is survived by her sons Greg and Jim Fritz.
Dottie will be interred with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery
