Frederick W. Sargent

Lt Commander Fred Sargent, our loving husband, father and friend, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on January 1, 2022. He leaves behind his wife Sandy and 4 loving step-children Mary (Dan) Colis, Melanie Sternod, Alan (Cindy) Snider, and Janelle Price. He also was the best grandfather to 12 grandchildren, 6+ great-grandchildren and daughters Laurie and Bonnie Fred was born March 25, 1930 in a lighthouse on Tatoosh Island, where his dad was the lighthouse keeper. He went on to serve 27 years in the Navy. He excelled at all that he did and was a passionate golfer and fisherman. His blue eyes and gregarious laughter will be remembered by all who had the great fortune to know him. Military honors will be at Tahoma National Cemetery January 21, 2022 1:00pm. Celebration of life service to be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Kent, WA (details TBD).
