Larry Lee Lewis born Nov 24, 1943 in Sesser Illinois.

Preceded in death by a baby daughter, Rose Ann, parents Lester & Geraldine Lewis, sister Mary Ilene McBride, baby brother Eldon Wayne Lewis.

Survived by Frances his wife, 3 sons Michael, Chris & Greg Lewis, 7 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jordan, Kilie, Kendra, Keaton, Brianna & Gavin, 2 step grandchildren Courtnie & Codie, 3 great grandchildren McKenna, Titan & Magnolia, three sisters Patrica Peterson, Audrey Kash and Regina Sandvekin.

Larry graduated from Bloom High School in Chicago Heights Illinois in 1962, and graduated at Chaminade College of Honolulu, Hawaii in 1974.

Larry married Frances Paxin July 13, 1963 high school sweethearts. Larry had dreams of being a nurse. The Army assured him they would help him get his nursing education. After basic training Larry was stationed at Ft. Lewis as a clerk typist for head nurse at Madigan Hospital for 9 months.

Larry received orders for Vietnam as a medic and gave his first shot to a LT Colonel, never did it before but he saw how it was done.

Tour in Vietnam convinced Larry he did not want to be a nurse. Larry changed his MOS (job description) to Counter intelligence and retired Army as a CW3 after 21 years.

Larry hired on at Boeing in 1987 in the defense side and used much of his military skills at Boeing, retiring after 17 years. Still not ready to stop working he did government investigations for an agency hired by the government for 5 years.

Larry loved southern gospel music and the gospel concerts, with Fran they did concerts in California, Florida, South Carolina & Canada and many local concerts.

Larry with his family sang hymns on radio FRX in Illinois, his mother and pastor preached after the singing.

Larry was delighted to help others, he took Winifered Peterson for a perm one day and waited until her hair was all fixed. Larry loved large dinners with the family, loved to tease & chase kids, all in fun. Larry is rejoicing with Jesus & his loved ones praising and singing to the glory of God.
