Orlan Johnson of Puyallup, Washington passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the age of 88.
Orlan was born in Zillah, Washington on March 2, 1933. Growing up, he helped on the family farm, attended school, and graduated from Yakima High School in 1951. While in High School, he met Dolores who he married in 1953. He started work for Boeing right after High School and then enlisted into the Marine Corps February 1952.
Orlan had a distinguished career in the Marine Corp for 16 years and then transferred into the Warrant Officer's Program with the US Army. During his time in the service, he served in Vietnam. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family came first and foremost.
Orlan is survived by his wife, Dolores M. Johnson, children Dawn D. Lord, Orlan R Johnson, Tammy J Dunlap; his 8 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Services are planned to be at Edline-Yahn Funeral Home on November 15, 2021 @1:00 pm. After the service, there will be a full military service at Tahoma National Cemetery where Orlan will be interned at 2:30 pm.
