Wilma A Lawler, Age 87, passed away on Sunday September 5, 2021 in Puyallup, Washington. Wilma was born September 6, 1933 in Hankinson, North Dakota to Charles and Minnie Korth.
She lost her mother at a very young age. Her family moved to Breckenridge, Minnesota and Wilma graduated from Breckenridge High in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob, in 1953. After Bob served several years in the army, they moved back to Breckenridge where 3 of their 4 children were born. In 1959 they moved to Washington state and Wilma was hired by the Boeing Company where she worked for over 30 years.
Wilma and Bob settled in Renton, Washington where their 4th child was born and after retirement they moved to Quincy, Washington. They found a winter home in Apache Junction, Arizona and enjoyed many years of traveling back and forth between their homes. They loved traveling to see friends and family back east and down south. Wilma was an avid reader, an excellent cook, and could tell the funniest jokes. She loved her family very much. She was married to Bob for 65 years until his passing in 2019.
She is survived by her children Paige (Gov), Patti (Warren), and Robert Jr. (Kim); her 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Marion and Vonnie (Olie)and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, her daughter Peggy, her parents, her brothers Elroy and Wilbert; her sisters Lorraine, Verona, Betty, and Evelyn.
